Ogun Accident; 37 Corp Members Injured

They left the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) orientation camp in Sagamu in a happy mood, having ended the three weeks drilling from soldiers. But a road crash almost claimed their lives.

The bus conveying 37 members of the NYSC crashed around Danco filling station along the Lagos – Ibadan expressway, in Sagamu.
19 of the 37 corps members who were aboard the bus heading to Sango Ota sustained injuries. 10 of the injured were females, while nine were males. They were travelling in an unmarked coaster bus after their orientation camp which ended on Monday.

The driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle after the brakes allegedly failed to engage.
No life was lost but those injured have were taken to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu for treatment.
