Etisalat's Name Change to 9mobile Approved by NCC

Etisalat's name change to 9mobile has been by Nigeria Telecommunications Commission (NCC)  after its united Arab Emirates parent company pulled out of its brand name and shares over the Nigerian units multimillion dollar  debt to a consortium of 13 local banks .
 According to the telecom regulator the move is to ensure the continuity of Nigeria's forth largest telecom operator adding that Etisalat has started the process of rebranding .
