Banks Set on Fire After Policeman killed a Tanker Driver

Two banks was burnt down on Tuesday by angry mob at the wharf area of Apapa. The incident occurred due to the killing of a trailer driver by a policeman attached to one of the banks in the area.
 According to an eyewitness the irate colleagues of the dead driver set fire to the bank where the policeman worked after the management of the bank refused to release him to them.
 The inferno spread to the second bank nearby, forcing it as we as other banks in the area shut down.
The shooting of the driver reportedly occurred after an argument over the indiscriminate parking of the tanker in front of the bank.
 The Lagos police command have mobilised personnel to the scene of the incident to bring it under control.
