Emmanuel Alayande College Of Education Shut Down By Oyo Govt
The indefinite closure of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education has been announced by Oyo state government this was due to the protest by the students' over their welfare.
Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela the commissioner of Education, Science and Technology conveyed the closure in Ibadan, on Friday.
He directed students' to vacate the school premises immediately while law enforcement engency enjoined to secure lives and government property in the college.
Olowofela said the college will remain closed until normiancy returns. According to some of the lecturers in the school the protest started after when the staff union of the institution declared an indefinite strike action to press home their demands like issue of unpaid salaries of ten months.
