Update On INEC Continuous Voters Registration Exercise

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC)held its usual weekly meeting today and reviewed the ongoing nationwide continuous registration exercise which started on 27th April,2017.
 In the first three days of the exercise 57,737 were registered while 4,913 collected there permanent voters card. 1,820 people applied for transfer of pulling units and 1,117 applied for replacement of their lost or damaged PVC.
 The exercise which is going on in all commissions office in the 774 local government throughout the federation has been peaceful and turnout impressive.
 The commission is however aware of the few challenges they face as the exercise is in progress which includes the distance of the station from the prospective registrants especially those in the rural areas and the slowness of the direct data capture machines (DDC).

INEC wishes to remind the public that this exercise is meant for:
 1.Nigerians who attained the age of 18 and above,who are previously not registered.

2.Those who registered but couldn't find their name in the register of voters
 3.Those who their PVC got damaged or lost.

Those who have not collect their PVC should use the opportunity to get their PVC.
